Lina.
Association of Non-formal Education in Lithuania (LiNA) was established in 2001 after 4 years of informal cooperation of people working as youth workers or trainers. LiNA unites practitioners working in the field of non-formal education in local and national NGOs. The association works towards an understanding of non-formal learning and quality in youth work, implements adult education programmes for youth workers and contributes to the developments in the field of non-formal learning at local, national and international levels.
In all educational activities LiNA puts a strong emphasis on the understanding of non-formal learning at the personal level, for the work practice and as an educational system. Participants of educational programmes reflect their own learning processes and experiences, identify learning outcomes and make references to their working practice in organisations. Many members of LiNA have followed academic studies in the fields of education and social work.
