Idea.
In this project UNIQUE year of learning, participants from different countries were working together and they were able to bring European dimension to their local youth work by creating learning mobility opportunities. The expectation was, that this project will enable young people to discover new learning opportunities, strengthen their motivation to join non-formal learning activities and will develop competences of people who are involved in youth work. Also they were able to exchange different non-formal education, learning practices, methods and methodologies of working with young people from different inclusion groups.
All of these groups were commited for equal involvement in preparation, implementation and follow-up of this project by being responsible of promoting the project to potential participants; preparing and following up involved participants; actively supporting implementation of the meeting programme. Each organisation contributed with different knowledge and experience in areas such as Human Rights Education, Cultural Diversity, Citizenship and Participatory Democracy.
The innovative character of this project is the idea to promote cross-sectorial approach of learning for young people through exploring various support measures for learners. We see international mobility programmes with and for young people as big opportunities to develop their human capital.
